Virtual Business Support
I help small business owners with a variety of services so that you can get valuable time back to be more productive in the areas most important to you.
I’m going to share a (hopefully) relatable moment with you quickly –
One thing I’ve discovered over the years while running my own small business is that just because I can do something it doesn’t mean I want to do it.
I struggle to force myself down a particular path if my heart isn’t in it. I need to be excited about the journey to actually get going in a productive and meaningful way.
If there is something I need to do within my own business but don’t like doing it or am not that great at it, then that’s when I am at risk of procrastination sneaking in. The task gets pushed to the bottom of my to-do list and I pretend it doesn’t exist for a little while.
That is, until it’s due and then I have to do it if I want to avoid any ‘consequences’ for my lack of action.
That is not a fun, effective, or efficient way of working on my business.
So, what do I do about it?
I outsource.
For example – I worked in an accounting firm for almost a decade and could do my business bookkeeping and taxes if I wanted to.
I don’t want to…so the first thing I outsourced was that.
I found a great accountant who handles all of the mandatory accounting and tax requirements for me and advises me on the next steps based on past results year after year. She is fantastic at what she does and because she is doing that one task for me, I can spend my time doing other things that give me the dopamine hit that I enjoy so much.
The planning, creating, coordinating, and implementing.
If you are anything like me, then you need to ask yourself these two questions:
What ONE task in my business can I outsource now, to give me valuable time back?
What ONE thing would I want to do if I had the time?
Take a moment to think about it…
Who it’s for:
Be it a start-up or an empire, every business needs a way to plan, develop, manage and execute work. While your business may not need every aspect of operations/project management systems, you would likely benefit from incorporating key elements that would help you to streamline processes and keep track of progress.
What’s included:
Every project needs a strategy, even a simple one, and we can apply these top 4 stages to anything:
1. Definition and Initiation
2. Planning and Development
3. Execution and Monitoring
4. Closure and Feedback
Who it’s for:
Who you gonna call when you need a service or product? Most would search online – either on a browser or social platform. It is easier for potential customers to find you if your business is visible online. You don’t have to be everywhere, just make yourself more accessible. Choose where you are comfortable and start engaging with people.
What’s included:
We’ll have a planning call so I can help with one/all of the following:
1. Get a business profile set up or updated on social media
2. Create templates for your visual content and news
3. Use a planner to schedule posts and communications
4. Update the content on your website
Who it’s for:
Anyone can benefit from a little delegation. Outsourcing tasks we don’t know how to do, or don’t like doing is a great start. Delegating frees up your time and is cost-effective because you only pay for what you need – no employee taxes, equipment fees or coffee breaks.
What’s included:
We’ll look at which areas of your business need TLC and discuss your requirements, expectations and goals. I’ll make suggestions for ‘next steps’ and let you know how I can help. Here are a few ideas:
1. Document creation, proofreading and research.
2. Administration support and virtual file management.
3. Update your website copy and images.
